We offer structured coaching to develop young riders (under 16) in Swinley Forest, from beginners to advanced levels.

Kids Club:
Saturday 10:00 – 12:00
Drop your kids off at the summit for 2 hours of coach supervised riding in The Summit. Kids are free to ride whatever they like, make friends and explore our purpose-built skills facility with a coach on hand to offer support, advice and coaching tips.

During School holidays we offer
Youth MTB Club:
This session focuses on fun for young riders (7-15) new to riding off road and looking to gain confidence and fundamental trail skills.
This session will use the Blue trail and The Summit Skills facility.
Youth MTB Academy:
For young riders who want to progress to more advanced skills and can ride further and for longer. Sessions will include steep climbs and technical descents and feature the drops and jumps found on the red trail. If you are unsure of the level required start with the Youth Club sessions.
This session will use the blue and red trails and The Summit skills area.

Youth MTB Club - Beginners
- This is for riders who are new to riding off-road. They can happily ride a bike but are yet to explore the blue trail at Swinley Forest and would like to know basic mountain biking skills. They need to be able to ride a bike and be over 7 years old.
Youth MTB Club - Intermediate
- This is for riders who are already confidently riding the blue trail here at Swinley Forest. They can happily ride standing up on their bikes and are capable of climbing the majority of the climbs on the blue trail without stopping. Generally this will be for riders over 10, but we know there are capable younger riders who can join.
Youth Academy
- Our Youth Academy is designed for young mountain bikers (15 & under) that meet the minimum ability standard, who really want to progress and are at a good starting level. The coaching for these sessions will be more advanced, more intense and focus on improving speed, fitness and endurance as well as skill. (They'll still be a lot of fun too!) Sessions will be 90 minutes with a maximum of 6 riders per session.
